John K. Schultz is a civil litigation defense trial lawyer at Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett & Brieske in Atlanta, Georgia. His primary focus at the firm is insurance defense focusing on personal injury, premises liability, and commercial general liability. John was trained in civil litigation from the outset of his career – as he tried his first case within a month of beginning the practice of law. He has also practiced criminal defense law, domestic relations law, estate planning, surety/bond disputes, contract dispute resolution, and personal injury law on the Plaintiff’s side. He has tried cases throughout the state of Georgia in Cherokee, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Fayette, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Henry, and Newton.
John’s current practice is insurance defense, which includes representing individuals, construction companies, retailers, commercial property owners, non-profit organizations, property managers, childcare facilities, grading/landscaping companies, and subcontractors against personal injury, wrongful death, and premises liability claims on both the federal and state levels.
John received his Juris Doctor and Masters in Business Administration from Samford University in 2014. John is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts across Georgia, including the magistrate, state, and superior courts throughout Georgia, the Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. While not practicing law, John enjoys camping, hiking, and fishing with his dog “Murphy.”
