Civil Litigation, Insurance Defense
Samia Taufiq joined Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett & Brieske as an associate with her practice focused on civil litigation with specialization in insurance defense and insurance coverage. Prior to joining the firm, Samia worked in Atlanta, Georgia for a civil litigation firm focused on medical malpractice. She defended hospitals, physician groups, doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals in a wide range of medical malpractice lawsuits.
Samia earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. While in law school, she worked in the Milton A. Kramer law clinic as an advocate for victims of human trafficking. She also worked at Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court on the Safe Harbor docket, providing support and legal aid to teenage victims of human trafficking. Samia received her undergraduate degree in Business Management and Religious Studies from Agnes Scott College.
Earlier in her career, Samia worked as a project manager for Herschend Family Entertainment for a project sponsored by a major insurance company at Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta. She also worked as a legal assistant and was a finance intern for the United States Senate campaign of Michelle Nunn.
