Nada A. Paisant is an attorney with Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett & Brieske, LLP, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her practice is focused on civil litigation, specifically in the areas of premises liability, defending businesses in wrongful death and serious injury claims stemming from criminal attacks, and commercial general liability.
Nada is an experienced trial lawyer and has extensive experience in the federal and state courts of Georgia, Virginia and Washington, D.C., where she has devoted 15 years of her legal career advising government agencies, serving as a prosecutor and a judicial law clerk.
Following her graduation from law school, Nada served as a judicial clerk for 2 years, to the Honorable Lee F. Satterfield, when he presided over a felony and a domestic violence calendar. She then joined the Office of the Attorney General, in Washington, D.C., as an Assistant Attorney General, where she worked for almost 11 years. During her tenure, Nada worked in the Personnel and Labor Relations Section, where she represented the District agencies through all phases of employment litigation, including misconduct hearings, and workers compensation. She also worked in the Public Safety Division where she prosecuted both juvenile and adult offenders. While in the juvenile section, she prosecuted juvenile offenders for felony and misdemeanor offenses, and in the criminal section, she prosecuted adults for firearm offenses, and alcohol and drug-related traffic offenses. Nada managed all aspects of a trial calendar, including pre-trial and post-conviction motions.
In Georgia, for the past 3 years, she served in the Forsyth County Solicitor General’s Office as an Assistant Solicitor General, where she prosecuted misdemeanor offenses; and as an Assistant District Attorney with the District Attorney’s Office in Cherokee County, where she managed the Diversion and the Accountability Court Programs for felony offenders.
