Summer Austin Wells is a partner with Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett, and Brieske in Atlanta, Georgia. Summer brings her expertise in law practice to civil defense litigation with a focus on premises liability, medical malpractice, trucking litigation, and general liability issues. Before joining Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett, and Brieske, Summer maintained a successful civil defense practice that included defending employment and product liability claims. Throughout her legal career, Summer has been solo or co-counsel on multiple cases that resulted in defense verdicts after jury trials.
Summer received her J.D., cum laude, from Cumberland Law School, Samford University. During law school, Summer successfully competed on Cumberland’s nationally-ranked trial team and developed her passion for civil litigation. After graduating from law school, Summer clerked for the Honorable Judge Karon O. Bowdre at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Additionally, Summer frequently uses her undergraduate degree in Biology from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in defending claims alleging severe personal injuries.
Summer is admitted to practice in state and federal courts across Georgia and Alabama.
When not lawyering, Summer enjoys preparing meals for and spending time with her husband, Thomas.
